59. Tower of London

The tower of London was founded in 1066 when William the Conqueror had a fort built on the banks of the Thames. It can be divided into different areas: the outer courtyard with Traitor's Gate, the White Tower, the inner courtyard, and the Jewel House, which is home to the Crown Jewels. According to legend, England and the monarchy would fall if the ravens, which are found at the tower, ever left. Therefore, they are taken care of by the Yeoman Warders.
The Tower of London is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
