56. The Trulli of Alberobello

These unique constructions in southern Puglia, Italy are scattered across the region and concentrated in Alberobello. These simple houses often have rounded roofs and are built using loose, flat stones without using mortar. The first constructions consisted of only one room or Trullo.
They are now UNESCO world heritage sites.
