89. City Gate of Bab el-Mansour

The old royal city of Meknes lies in the heart of Morocco. The largest and most beautiful gate in the country was finished in 1732. An inscription in Arabic on this ornamental monument, begins, "I am the happy gate…" The city wall, which is attached to the gate, is only hinted at in our model.
