66. Vineyard "Groot Constantia"

In the northern part of the Cape Peninsula, about 25km from Cape Town, lies the South African wine region and the vineyard Groot Constantia. Built by the Dutch governor Simon van der Stel in 1692, the house represents the Cape Dutch architectural style. The beautiful gables and squire's house was built in 1791 by Hendrik Cloete, who had made the Constantia wine famous. The entire complex was renovated in 1994 and attracts many tourists in South Africa.
