17. Submarine U 995

The U 995 is the only Vllc type submarine remaining in Germany, although over 650 were built. The original was built by Blohm and Voss in Hamburg in 1943. In 1952 the submarine was put into operation by the Royal Norwegian Marine. Since 1972 it has served as a technical/historical museum in Kiel-Laboe.
The submarine was used during the filming of "Das Boot."
